General Questions

What travel services do you specialize in?

We specialize in creating magical, stress-free vacations to the world's most beloved destinations. Whether you're dreaming of the enchanted world of Disney, the action-packed adventures of Universal Studios, or a relaxing cruise across the open seas, we bring expert knowledge to every booking. We handle everything from family-focused theme park itineraries to romantic couple getaways and large group excursions.

Beyond the parks and ships, we offer comprehensive vacation packages to all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico, European tours, and luxury beach retreats. At Here We Go Vacations, our goal is to match your unique travel style with the perfect destination, ensuring every detail from flights to ground transportation is seamlessly arranged for your peace of mind.

How does the vacation planning process work?

Our process begins with a friendly discovery call or message where we get to know your travel goals, preferences, and must-haves. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all trips; instead, we listen to what matters most to you—be it high-intensity adventure, slow-paced relaxation, or budget-conscious family fun. After our consultation, we present you with tailored options that align with your vision.

Once you've selected your dream package, we handle all the heavy lifting of the booking process. We manage your dining reservations, park passes, and shore excursions. But our work doesn't stop there; we continue to monitor your booking for any price drops or new promotions, ensuring you always get the best value possible before you even pack your bags.

What are your professional booking fees?

One of the most common questions we receive is about the cost of using a travel advisor. We are proud to share that, in the vast majority of cases, our professional planning services are provided at no additional cost to you beyond the price of your vacation. We are compensated by our network of travel partners—including major cruise lines and theme park resorts—which means you get our expert advocacy for free.

By booking through Here We Go Vacations, you often save money that you might have missed by booking alone. We stay on top of daily promotions and can often apply new discounts to your existing reservation. You receive a personalized level of service, insider tips, and a dedicated advocate in your corner, all while paying the same (or less) than you would if you handled the stress of booking yourself.

The only time we charge is for Flight only bookings.   If we are booking flights only then we do charge a small fee for our time that we spend on helping you.  Fee depends on the booking and can range from $50-$90.

What can I expect when traveling with Here We Go Vacations?

Whether you have a quick question about a dining reservation while you're in the park or need help navigating a cruise terminal, we are just a text or phone call away. Our reassurance and dedication to your experience mean you can focus on what truly matters: making lasting memories with your loved ones.

Travel Tips & Advice

How do I choose the right cruise for my style?

Choosing the perfect itinerary is about balancing your personal interests with the specific vibe of the cruise line. For those seeking breath-taking nature and dramatic wildlife encounters, Alaskan cruises offer unparalleled glacier views and unique excursion opportunities like dog sledding or whale watching. Conversely, if you are looking for sun-soaked beaches and vibrant island culture, Caribbean cruises remain the gold standard for relaxation and crystal-clear waters.

As your dedicated cruise travel agent, I help you navigate the nuances between mega-ships filled with water parks and intimate vessels focused on destination immersion. We consider cabin locations, dining variety, and onboard atmosphere to ensure your chosen ship feels like a true home away from home, matching your energy level whether you want excitement or complete tranquility.

What is typically included in my cruise fare?

One of the biggest draws of cruising is the exceptional value provided by your base fare. Generally, this covers your accommodations, all primary meals in the main dining room and buffet, and a wide array of onboard entertainment from Broadway-style theater productions to live music and comedy clubs. Most recreational facilities, including pools, fitness centers, and supervised kids' clubs, are also complimentary for guests.

However, it is wise to budget for certain 'onboard expenses' that are not always included, such as alcoholic beverages, specialty coffee, spa treatments, and shore excursions. Many cruise lines now offer 'all-in' packages that bundle these costs together at a discount, which can simplify your daily budgeting and provide a more seamless, worry-free vacation experience from day one.

When is the best time to book my cruise?

The golden rule for modern cruising is to book as early as possible. Most cruise lines release their itineraries 18 to 24 months in advance, and this 'launch' window is when you will typically find the lowest introductory pricing and the very best selection of prime cabin locations. If you have your heart set on an aft-facing balcony or a specific suite category, booking early is essential to avoid disappointment.

Working with a professional cruise travel agent is particularly beneficial during the booking phase. We can often hold a cabin with a minimal deposit while you finalize your details. Furthermore, we monitor your booking for any price drops or new promotions; if the rate decreases before your final payment date, we can often adjust your booking to the new lower price, ensuring you never overpay for your dream voyage.

What are your essential packing tips for cruisers?

Packing for a cruise requires a bit of foresight. Beyond your casual daytime clothing and formal night attire, we recommend bringing a small carry-on bag for embarkation day. Since it can take a few hours for your checked luggage to reach your stateroom, having your swimwear, medications, and sunscreen handy allows you to start enjoying the ship's amenities immediately without waiting for your suitcases.

Expert tip: Cabin walls are often metal, so bringing a few magnetic hooks is a lifesaver for hanging hats, damp swimsuits, or your daily activity schedule. Also, remember to pack a non-surge-protected power strip, as cabin outlets can be limited. If you are heading to tropical ports, ensure your sunscreen is reef-safe to protect the beautiful ecosystems you'll be visiting, and always pack comfortable walking shoes for those busy port days.

I’m worried about motion sickness—should I still cruise?

Modern cruise ships are engineering marvels equipped with sophisticated, computer-operated stabilizers that significantly minimize the feeling of movement. Most travelers describe the sensation as a very gentle vibration rather than a swaying motion. If you are particularly sensitive, we recommend booking a cabin on a lower deck in the middle of the ship, where the vessel's center of gravity is most stable.

There are also numerous over-the-counter and natural remedies that work wonders, such as ginger candies, acupressure wristbands, or specialized patches. Most guests find that once they are on the ship and their eyes adjust to the horizon, any initial anxiety disappears quickly. The sheer size and technological advancement of today’s vessels make them incredibly stable, even when navigating through less-than-perfect weather conditions.

Why are cruises ideal for families and large groups?

Family cruise vacations are designed to provide a perfect balance of together-time and independence. With dedicated kids' clubs that separate children by age group, parents can enjoy a romantic dinner or a spa treatment while the little ones are safely supervised and entertained by professional staff. Many modern ships now feature multi-level suites and connecting staterooms specifically tailored for larger families and multi-generational groups.

For groups, cruises offer a unique 'together-alone' dynamic that is hard to find elsewhere. You can all meet for a themed dinner at the same table every evening, but spend your daylight hours pursuing individual interests—be it a cooking class, water slides, or simply lounging by the pool. Additionally, many cruise lines offer exclusive group perks, such as private cocktail parties or onboard credits, when booking multiple cabins together for a celebration or reunion.
